About Pathway

Pathway Foundation is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of ethnic minority pregnant women, mothers, and their babies. Our activities include organizing educational events and seminars led by qualified medical, obstetrics, and midwifery professionals, ensuring that communities have access to essential knowledge about maternal and newborn health. We also distribute NHS-approved information and materials, tailored to meet the specific needs of ethnic minorities, empowering them with reliable resources on prenatal care, childbirth, and infant health.

Recognizing the financial barriers that some individuals face, we provide crucial support to minorities and those unable to afford basic healthcare services. Our efforts aim to reduce health disparities and ensure that everyone has access to the medical care they need. Additionally, we offer vital assistance to mothers during the prenatal and postnatal periods by providing clothing and food, helping them focus on their health and the well-being of their babies during these critical times.

Our Objectives

Our objectives focus on promoting prenatal health, women’s pre-conception health, maternal mental well-being, early childhood development, and the mother’s impact on her child’s future.

Promoting prenatal health education: healthy pregnancy leading to healthy babies:

We aim to provide comprehensive prenatal health education to ensure that mothers are well-informed, leading to healthier pregnancies and healthier babies. Our focus is on preventive care, early intervention, and fostering positive health outcomes.

Focusing on maternal mental health:

We address the critical importance of maternal mental health by offering support, resources, and education to help mothers manage stress, anxiety, and depression, ensuring their well-being and that of their babies.

Highlighting maternal state and its impact on child’s health and development:

Discussing pre-conception and women’s health:

We emphasize the importance of pre-conception health and overall women’s health by providing education and resources that prepare women for healthy pregnancies, reducing risks and enhancing outcomes for both mother and child.

Focusing on baby’s health: the first 1000 days:

We focus on the first 1,000 days of a baby's life, promoting optimal health and development through education on nutrition, care, and early childhood development, ensuring a strong foundation for the future.

We highlight the significant impact of a mother's health and well-being on her child’s development, advocating for holistic care that addresses both physical and mental health to promote positive long-term outcomes.
